Donations needed... please help
As a celebration for Braelyn's 1 year post transplant & the amazing gift we have received, I am sewing baby blankets for the cardiac babies at All Children's Hospital. There are about 21 babies in the CVICU alone & I have made 11 so far. I have sunk just about every penny I have into fabric & still need more. If you have any flannel or fleece fabric scraps to donate that would be a huge help.

Braelyn's 1 year Biopsy & catheter exam
Yesterday Braelyn had a bronchoscopy followed by her 1 year biopsy & cardiac catheter exam. We learned that her left vocal cords are paralyzed which is causing the loud breathing, congested sound & faint voice. The biopsy took about 2 hours for them to get access to her heart but we should get the results back wed or thur. From the cath exam we learned that there is a narrowing in the vein in her neck & will need another angioplasty or stint put in. They decided to keep her last night since the procedure took so long & she lost quite a bit of blood during it. Last night she ran a fever of 104.3 & it finally broke this morning, they are worried she might have caught an infection so they are keeping her 1 more night & started her on antibiotics as a pre cautionary. Hopefully we will be going home tomorow & are eager for the biopsy results.
Well, we ended up staying til Friday due to the infection but the results are in.....
NO REJECTION!!!

10-30 & 10-31-08 Halloween Costume Party & Trik R' Treating
Thursday night there was a costume party for the children at our apartment community clubhouse. We ate PB&J's that were cookie cut into the shape of bats & pumpkins. Caleb got to play 'Pin the Wart on the Witch'. Caleb was dressed in his 'Silly Skeleton' costume & the girls were '2 Peas in a Pod' (the stroller was the pod). Braelyn loved her costume but when it came to putting the costume on Addison she just kicked & cried. Unfortunately Addison's costume didnt fit, so I had to cut the bottom off & sew up the ends. Friday night we went to Bright House Field for Trik R' Treating. It was so great, they had the baseball field lit up, there was hay rides around the outfield. Various companies like State Farm, Costco, & local churches & day cares had tables set up with information for the parents & safe candy for the kids. There was a haunted house for the older kids & 2 bouncy houses for the kids & a play park. The concession stands were open & priced cheaper for Halloween. There also were various games for the kids to do to win prizes. Caleb started crying & was so upset when we had to leave. Cant wait til next Halloween! It was such a family friendly & safe place to go for Halloween.

10-5-08 Pepper Fest
We went to the Sunken Gardens for Pepper Fest. The Sunken Gardens is a beautiful garden with winding paths that takes you to all different kinds of plants, trees, & ponds. There was various venders selling pepper plants, hot sauces, BBQ sauce, marinades, & oh some of them were really hot! I dont like hot or spicy things so I bought a banana pepper plant =) Derek tried the hotest of all the sauces. They also had some artist there selling some of their paintings & there was a huge BBQ.
10-4-08 Carnival
Caleb's school held a Carnival & we had so much fun. Everything was free =) There was pony rides, cotton candy, snow cones, & various games for the kids to play & lunch. The weather was hot but sunny, overall a really great day.
